Curt Hansen was born 18. September 1964.

Curt Hansen has been the strongest chess player in Denmark since the late eighties. He won the IM title when he was 17 and the GM title in 1985.

He won the Junior European Championship in 1982 and the Junior World Championship in 1984. I 1992 he reached 14th place on the world ranking.

He has won the Danish Championship 6 times and the Nordic Championship two times. He plays in the German Bundesliga winning the Germen Team Championship with SG Köln Porz.

In correspondence chess Curt plays in the Korning Memorial. This result won him the GM title in correspondence chess.
